HELP ME GET BACK HOME

PLEASE

image
Hello,

Have You Seen Me?

I'm a shy but friendly and submissive Siberian Husky with great temperament. I know tricks and I know how to wait. I love my humans as much as they love me. Unfortunately, because of my wild and adventurous personality, I wandered off teritorial limits and now in search of my long lost humans. I was last seen in Kent, WA. along 132nd AVE SE and 228th PL SE.

I am unchipped and unspayed. I must be in a new place -- unfamiliar scents.

THE DAILY HUSKY

Siberian Husky Subscription Boxes

In today's sharing economy, the subscription economy rises where boxes of different sizes get delivered to your front door every month or so. Almost every genre has its own version of subscription offers such as Candy Club (for those with the sweet teeth), Graze (for those who just can't stop snackin'), Cafe Britt (for the people who would die without coffee), and a lot more. Of course, our beloved pets won't get left behind. And so, PupJoy was born.

PupJoy was founded by two pet-lovin' dudes named Dustin and Bill. They offer custom boxes for pooches from box size to box type, and treat preference to toy preference. Of course, you are able to choose the frequency of delivery that suits your budget. Price ranges from as low as $23 to $100+. I personally have not tried their service but maybe, someday. Right now, I'm just not into subscription boxes.

PupJoy isn't the only subscription boxes available for dogs. There are tons of them out there waiting for you to be discovered. Some awesome quality ones such as PupJoy, and some not-so-appealing ones. Here's to your pooch and fur everywhere.

Want to feature your box? Feel free to contact us!

Yuuna's Milestones

This is Yuuna the Husky's milestones. Take note that not all Huskies are the same. They are unique in terms of their ability to learn, emotional intelligence, behaviour, and attitude - all of which are touched by the nature and nurture theories.

8-12 Weeks

  • Eats well with dog food and has adapted fairly well with the new family.
  • Learned name quite fast.
  • Some event** censored** since she got lost 09/11/2017.

12 Weeks / 3 Months

  • Knows the commands "sit", "no", "gentle", "down", "stay", "fetch", "give me five", and "wait".
  • Commands in progress: Leave it
  • Leash training and potty training is still in progress.
  • Potty bell is also being used during potty training.
  • Doing well at night. Yuuna can hold her bladder for a whole 8 hours at night.
  • This event ***censored***.
  • Gets easily scared by small or big animals.

4-5 Months

  • Leash training and potty training is still in progress.
  • Potty bell is in training.
  • Knows the command "Ring the bell".
  • Learned how to "speak".
  • Night time sleep is in sync with our sleep. Does not need to go potty in the middle of the night anymore.
  • Circadian rhythm is in sync with our schedule as well.
  • Immunizations completed. Yay!
  • Socialization is in progress. She loves people, but still adjusting to animals.

Best Pet Insurance for Puppies

If you are a new pet owner, you might be looking around the internet and trying to shop for pet insurance that goes well with your budget. Or, you may not even be considering health insurance for your pup. However, if you are truly a responsible pet owner, I truly believe that having a pet insurance for your dog is a safe way to raise a healthy puppy and a healthy pocket.

As a millennial pet owner, I shop around through the internet and I have to make a written list of all important factors to consider, before settling in with a company for good. First, I want the cheapest. Second, I want a nice-looking website (being a self-made web designer that I am), and third, I want a trustworthy company to handle my pet needs as needed.

Below is a list of pet insurance companies (I have researched) that offer great deals and benefits. Please note that this is not a comprehensive list, but I will try to update it as much as I can.

Pets Best Pet Insurance. This is currently what Yuuna the Husky has for pet insurance. After about a month or two of careful comparison and gauging, I have finally settled to sign up with Pets Best because of the benefits that far outweigh the rest according to my needs. Therefore, Pets Best Insurance won as the best pet insurance for puppies for me! Yay!

Healthy Pet Paws Pet Insurance. Healthy Pet Paws if I'm not mistaken, is the number one pet insurance company across the nation. Though they are the top contender among the rest, they failed to pass one of my 'insurance needs' which was the veterinarian examination fee. Pets Best Insurance has this, which is why I chose them. Also, Healthy Pet Paws Pet Insurance has a $25 sign up fee

Pet Plan Pet Insurance. This insurance company has a really playful website which I really like. Their rates are fair enough as well. You can also create a free account for your pet "just in case" you plan to use their service. Tip: If you plan to choose Pet Plan Insurance, make sure that you have an Ebates account to utilize the $12.50 rebate. You can also download the Chrome/Safari extension so that you never miss a single opportunity to save. For more information on how Ebates is saving me money, don't forget to read the article I wrote about it entitled "Make the Most of Your Online Shopping". Take a look at the snapshot below to see how the Pet Plan Account looks like.

Yuuna's the Husky's Food, Kibbles, And Treats

Yuuna the Husky - Puppy Food Series

Welcome to Yuuna the Husky's Food, Kibbles, And Treats. This is what Yuuna currently eats and snacks on. Reviews and information about the products will also be in here. Otherwise, feel free to click on the links to go directly to the store where I purchase them, mostly Amazon.

Yuuna the Husky Loves Food

Meals for Yunna the Husky

Blue Buffalo Puppy Food. $28.99 (15-lb). This was the first dry food that Yuuna had. It's bite-size for puppies that are very young. She loves the flavor of this one too.

Core Wellness Grain-Free Puppy Formula. $12.93 (4-lb). I have also tried this for Yuuna when she was about a few weeks to 2 months old and I personally think that she preferred the Blue Buffalo Brand than this one. I tried this because it had an excellent review and it was way cheaper than the latter. I only bought it the first time but eventually switched back to the Blue Buffalo Brand.

Blue Buffalo Wilderness Protein-Rich Puppy Food. $49.99 (24-lb). As Yuuna had grown so much, I decided that she needed larger kibbles for her food too, and I thought this might just do it. The size is pretty reasonable. Definitely larger than the Blue Buffalo Puppy Food I had initially purchased. However, this had fewer dried blueberries which sort of disappointed me. I don't really like the color - which is tan as compared to the first food she had which was darker. I still have this brand and I firmly believe it'll take about two more months until she finishes this (about 7 months old for Yuuna) since I also do homemade dog food for her and I mix it in with 2 cups of this per day.

Treats for Yuuna the Husky

Blue Wilderness Buffalo Trail Treats . $5.99 (Chicken Bits). I don't know about this one. Yuuna usually loved this the first time. However, as she learned to taste different treats, she does not want this anymore. I feel like she associates it with her regular meals since I feed her real cooked chicken too. I just basically mix this with her dog food because I didn't want it to go to waste.

Wellness Puppy Bites Grain Free Puppy Treat. $3.49 (Salmon & Lamb). This particular treat gives off a really strong smell, and so I'm warning you. If you are easily nauseated by unpleasant smells, you've been warned. Yuuna enjoys this treat very much. It's chewy, soft, and probably delicious!

Alpo Snaps Dog Treats Little Bites. $2.66 (Beef, Chicken, Liver, and Lamb). Alas, we've come to the present. This is what Yuuna currently feasts on as a treat for the good deeds. She loves the crunch and flavor. Maybe your pooch will too.

Siberian Husky Puppy Crate Training

Yuuna has not been very well trained to stay in her crate quite fully yet at the age of 3 months, but we are trying at the very least.

The crate training has been restarted at 3 months old and she is being fed in it as part of her starter training.

Day 1: Eat outside the crate by the door.
Day 2: Eat inside the crate with door open.
Day 3-4: Eat inside the crate with door closed.

3-4 Months Age

...This is an update on Yuuna's progress in terms of crate training.
First of all, she has been sleeping with us on the bed and we just couldn't help it! However, she stays in her crate when we leave and does okay in it. It's just like "as if I have a choice" kind of stuff for her whenever we put her in there. :( She does not whine or complain about it though, which I personally think is good. She still eats in the crate, so that basically sets it as her "home" and does not fear the crate itself.

The Husky Pup

A samply post for the husky pup. The cake and the berry eating a muffin top. Hello there silly goose.
